What is a Partner?

A Partner is a service provider. This can be a department or committee formed by the federal, state, or local government, a military service agency, a private organization, or even a veteran county service officer.

Core Partner

A Core Partner is an organization that has been a part of Partners Across Texas since the very beginning.  These organizations provide a variety of services to military personnel, veterans, and their families. For a complete list please go to the Core Partner List page.

Extended Partner

An Extended Partner is an organization that has recently been added to our database that is not mention in the state legislature. We deem these organizations Partners because they still provide a service to serving military, veterans and their families.

Triad Funding

Many of the Partners in our database receive something called TRIAD funding. This is specific money set aside for organizations in Texas that specifically aid active and former military personnel serving in Iraq and/or Afghanistan and their families. Many of the services funded by TRIAD are available a little to no cost to those eligible.

TRIAD History

In 2007, The Iraq-Afghanistan Deployment Impact Fund at the Los Angeles-based California Community Foundation awarded $15 million to three Texas community foundations to support the efforts of nonprofit organizations that provide needed services in Texas to active and former military personnel serving in Iraq and/or Afghanistan and their families.

Texas Resources for Iraq-Afghanistan Deployment (TRIAD) Funds were originally allocated for three regions: The Dallas Foundation, The Permian Basin Foundation, and The San Antonio Area Foundation. The Permian Basin Foundation has since been consolidated into the Dallas and San Antonio Area respectively.

Please visit the TRIAD Fund website for a map of Foundation regions as well as more information.
