Texas Military Forces

The Texas Military Forces (TXMF), which consists of the Texas Army National Guard (TXARNG), the Texas Air National Guard (TXANG), and the Texas State Guard (TXSG), are directed and supported by the Adjutant General’s Department (AGD). Personnel include part-time citizen soldiers and airmen and full-time, active-duty soldiers and airmen, and state and federal civilian employees from across the length and breadth of Texas. They are commanded by MG Charles Rodriguez, Adjutant General of Texas, who responds to Governor Perry of Texas for state missions and the Department of Defense for federal missions. Partners Across Texas focuses on making it easier for military members and their families to find help. The resources identified through TexVet are meant for anyone who is serving or has served in any branch of the military, as well as the family members and others who care about a service member.
